We love this place because they open early, close late and are very gay-friendly. And, it's in the Village, just a few short steps from the Gondola. The perfect stop on the way to the slopes. Why ride on an empty stomach? Grab your bagel or a breakfast burrito and your fresh roasted coffee and your are set for the day. Gomez's Mexican Restaurant

A local favorite, well known for great food, killer margaritas and a laid-back atmosphere. Hidden off Main Street, this place is open for lunch and dinner and hosts a popular happy hour from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and they now have Free Wi-Fi!  The bartenders and staff will catch your eye as well as that "boy toy" that was running Chair 23 today! The Stove

Ok...It's a tourist spot but locals agree...Breakfast at this place rocks! The Stove is a Mammoth tradition and the long morning wait is a testiment to the generous portions and amazing quality. The coffee is fresh and the home-made biscuits are a real treat. Come on, who cares about carbs when you plan on skiing all day? The Stove features breakfast, lunch and dinner. ($)

Angel's Restaurant

Lunch and dinner is served up fresh and hot. The long waits are evidence of the amazing bar-b-que. Prime rib, brisket and tri-tip are smoked on the property and served with a nice array of bar-b-que sauces. Order up the Mammoth Rib plate and confirm what the locals have known for years. It's the best dinner in town.  Make sure to ask for Stuart, Mammoth's hottest waiter!  The bar here is small and intimate -- Be sure to bring your I.D. Otis, the bartender here cards everyone. ($$)

The Mogul
A Mammoth institution since 1971 and the best steaks in town. And did I mention the hotties waiting tables? (Who is doing the hiring here?) I'm not saying anything that is not obvious...This place screams gay friendly. The small & intimate bar is also a great people-watching venue. ($$$)

This much-acclaimed restaurant is well worth the senic 10 minute drive from Mammoth Lakes and is the perfect spot for that romantic dinner.  The Country French menu offers rack of lamb, Beef Wellington, succulent steaks, salmon, pasta and the exclusive Alpers Ranch fresh trout.  The unique copper fireplace and glorious mountain views ensure a magnificent dining experience.  The gayborhood loves the spacious, full-service cocktail lounge and cozy surroundings.  The restaurant is widely recognized as the finest in the Eastern Sierra and features a full bar and extensive wine list.  Dinner served nightly.  (Lunch is served daily during the summer)  Reservations are highly recommended.  Hot Tip:  Booth No. 4 is the best.  Ask for it.
